Welcome — first,your guest registration
It's quick, it's required by Austrian law, and doing it now means a smooth, key-in-hand arrival.
Opens the official Tirol check-in form · about 2 minutes
Unlocks your free Welcome Card
Here's the upside: your free Innsbruck Welcome Card is linked to this registration. Once it's done, you get free public transport across the region, discounts on pools, lakes and events — and with 3+ nights, four free mountain cable-car rides. No registration, no card, so it's worth the two minutes.
Why this is required
Austria's registration law (Meldegesetz) requires accommodation providers to register every guest. We're legally obliged to collect it, and you're legally obliged to provide it — for every stay, anywhere in the country.
Completing it online before arrival means there's no form to fill at the door and nothing slowing down your check-in.
What you'll do
- Tap "Start registration"It opens the official Tirol (Deskline) check-in form.
- Fill in your detailsNames, stay dates and travel-document info for each guest.
- SubmitYou'll see a confirmation — that's all we need. You're done.
Have your ID ready
The form asks for the usual details — name, birth date, address and your passport or ID card. One field trips people up, so here's exactly what it wants:
This single field needs two things together: who issued your passport or ID, and when it was issued. Both go in the same box.
Example: Passport Office Zagreb, 14.03.2021Pick passport or national ID, then enter its number exactly as printed on the document.
Parking at your apartment
Where you park depends on which apartment you're staying in. Find yours below.
Park directly in front of the garage — no city parking fees, no time limit.
Open in Google MapsA reserved parking space is available for you here — no city parking fees.
Open in Google MapsThere's no private spot for this apartment. Nearly all streets in Innsbruck are paid short-term zones with time limits, so the easiest option is usually Park & Ride plus public transport. See the Innsbruck parking guide below before you drive in.
Parking in Innsbruck — the short version
Only relevant if you'll drive into the city (Apartment 4, or any day-trip by car). Innsbruck is strict about parking, so a few basics save you a fine:
Leave the car at a Park & Ride lot and take public transport in. With ÖBB train stations, parking can be included in your train ticket. This avoids the city-centre zones entirely.
Most on-street spots are paid, time-limited zones — max 90 or 180 min. Fees roughly Mon–Fri 9:00–19:00/21:00, Sat mornings. Your free Welcome Card covers public transport, so you often won't need to drive at all.
Machines take coins only (no change given). Easier: pay by phone via mobil-parken.at, billed by the minute. Fees apply to electric cars too.
Some kerbside spots are permit-holders only — marked by a no-parking sign with an "except…" plate. When in doubt, don't park there.
Where we eat & drink nearby
A few honest local favourites — the places we'd send a good friend to.
Farm-to-table Tyrolean cooking in the old town. The menu changes with the season and what local farms bring in, so it's always fresh. Cosy, lively, great wine list. Reservations recommended.
Open in Google MapsA relaxed all-day spot — coffee and cake in the afternoon, a proper meal in the evening, drinks and music later on. Easy-going and welcoming.
Open in Google MapsA classic Tyrolean beer garden in St. Nikolaus, just across the river near the old town. Local beers, a big leafy courtyard, and a genuinely warm, unpretentious crowd. Perfect for winding down after a day out. Covered seating if the weather turns.
